Alena Brashavitskaya

Alena is an experienced postpartum Registered Nurse (RN) and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She is based at a Toronto hospital’s ambulatory breastfeeding clinic as a Lactation coordinator, helping families with newborns meet their feeding goals. As a Lactation Consultant, her approach is to provide family-centered,  gentle, non-judgmental care directed at accomplishing  your feeding goals. She takes into account individual health history, birth story, and  family dynamic in order to create a realistic, effective, and manageable feeding plan. As a mother, she had to overcome her own challenges in feeding her two kids. The importance of getting help early was the key for success. She is honored to be able to extend her care into the community setting as a part of Bloorkids team.
